Dear Member of the Howard University Community,
As we undertake the search for the next president of Howard University, the Board of Trustees and the Presidential Search Committee highly value your engagement and perspectives. A multifaceted process is being implemented to facilitate the collection of input from Howard’s stakeholders: faculty, students, staff, alumni, friends, and trustees. Your insights will not only help in identifying and selecting our next president, but they will contribute to sustaining the University’s future, as well.
Today, we are reaching out to invite you to complete the Howard University Presidential Search Survey. (Click here to link to the survey). The Search Committee, in concert with the Board’s Transition Committee, has developed this survey as one of several initiatives to solicit input from key stakeholders on one of Howard’s most critical decisions, the selection and hiring of a chief executive officer/president. Because alignment among stakeholders is essential to advancing the University’s mission and the success of its next president, the survey is designed to draw insights that will contribute to a highly effective and successful presidential search process.
Please complete and submit the survey by Friday, April 11, 2014. The survey collection process will close at 11:59 p.m. (EDT) on April 11. To complete the survey, click the link above and you will be directed to the survey. Please note that all responses are completely confidential and are not identifiable by e-mail address or other personal information.
The Search Committee would also like to invite you to nominate candidates that you believe should be considered for the Howard University Presidency. By clicking here you will be directed to the Search Committee’s website and instructions on how to submit your nomination(s).
Thank you for your valuable insights and for taking the time to give us your input.
We encourage you to visit the Search Committee’s website for periodic updates at www.howard.edu/presidentialsearch.
